At Strathmeyer Forests, our Customer Service Representatives have over twenty-five years combined nursery experience. First time customers are often surprised by the size of our bare root stock and often do not have enough vehicle space. We suggest that you call and let us advise you on space requirements for your order.

Our offices our open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. During the summer, our offices close at 4:30 p.m. These hours are subject to change for holidays, etc.

General Terms and Conditions

1. Quantities are subject to availability at time of shipment.

2. Cash or certified check may be required.

3. All prices are FOB Dover, PA loading yard unless otherwise noted.

4. Prices quoted DO NOT include shipping charges. These charges will be assumed by the customer. A fuel surcharge will be added when warranted.

5. Transportation of your order can be arranged by Strathmeyer Forests, Inc.

6. There will be a drop charge of approximately $75.

7. All customers are asked to have adequate help at the time of delivery. Excess time will be charged at approximately $65 an hour.

8. Delays in shipping caused by a consigned trucking company cannot be the responsibility of Strathmeyer Forests, Inc. These matters must be dealt with directly.

9. All claims must be made to Strathmeyer Forests, Inc. within five days of receiving the order. Send pictures to support claim. Our liability does not exceed the purchase price.

Order Inquiries

Please refer to your client order number located in the upper left portion of your acknowledgement. Wholesale customers must supply a tax exempt number.

Pricing

All prices are freight-on-board Dover, Pennsylvania, unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Deposits

Orders of $100 or less require full payment. Orders greater than $100 require a 25% deposit. An order without a deposit is considered void.

Payments

Bare Root Stock - Full payment is required 10 days before shipping date unless credit has been established.

Balled & Burlapped Trees - All orders are pre-pay until proper credit has been established. First order must be paid in full before delivery.

Credit approval may take up to 8 weeks. A 1.5% per month service charge (Annual Percentage Rate - 18%) will be assessed against past due balances. A $25.00 service fee is charged when a check is returned (N.S.F.)

Cancellations

Cancellations are subject to a 10% charge. Deadlines for cancellations: Spring, March 1; Fall, September 1. We reserve the right to cancel orders if necessitated by conditions or Acts of God beyond our control.

Shipping Orders

For nursery stock shipments, please add 20% for shipping (minimum $8 charge). A fuel surcharge will be added when warranted. If freight charges exceed the original 20% shipping charge, we reserve the right to invoice additional charges. We encourage you to pick up large transplant orders. Due to large root systems and overall fullness of plants, many transplant orders exceed 20% shipping.

Split Shipments

Weather conditions may limit our ability to lift every nursery item at the same time. We reserve the right to split ship your order if necessary. Your boxes may become separated when shipped and arrive on different days.

Claims and Warranty

Inspect your order for damages and shortages. Report damage or shortages by telephone or by writing us within 5 days. For your protection please do both. We warrant to deliver plants true to name as stated in our catalog. Upon proof, if your nursery stock should not be true to name, a replacement of the proper plants or substitutes at equal value will be made. It is agreed between the purchaser and us that our liability does not exceed the original purchase price of the product
